‘Vedaa’ Box Office Collection Day 3: John Abraham-Sharvari Wagh Starrer Crosses Rs 10 Crore
Nikkhil Advani’s film Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh, has been performing well at the box office despite stiff competition from biggies like Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. Not very aggressive in its promotion strategy, it engaged viewers with its convincing plot.

The film opened quite decently on the first day with Rs 6.52 crore. However, the film fell quite sharply the next day and its second day collection ended at Rs 1.60 cr net. There was a slight increase in the third-day numbers to Rs 2.40 cr net. This brings the total box office collection to Rs 10.50 crore.

By Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa tells the story of Abhimanyu, an ex-soldier who breaks the societal taboo by training a Dalit boxer named Vedaa in Barmer. With an ensemble cast featuring John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah Bhatia, Vedaa promises some action along with throwing light on the caste system still prevalent in the rural parts of the country.
Critical Reception
Our in-house critic reviewed it as 3 stars. The review read that though the film may look like just another action film with a high octane dose of action, Vedaa actually attempts at addressing major social issues. What makes this movie different is the infusion of emotion into the plot within the action film, which makes it different in a genre of cinema that is usually soaked in formulaic treatment.
