UP T20 League 2024: Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon to Shine in the Opening Ceremony
The second edition of the Uttar Pradesh T20 League is set to kick-start on August 25 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The cricketing season will be fast and furious. Of course, the opening ceremony has a whole star-studded array, but the Bachchan lad and Disha Patani are the ones who will set the stage on fire, sources say.
The event is rightly being billed as ‘Maha Sangram ka Maha Jashn’ because, with the electrifying stage presence of Khurrana and Sanon, the audience can expect nothing less than a power-packed act. Stardom of the rampart of the tier-1 league will elevate manifold at the opening ceremony with the sparkling performances by the gorgeous actress Janhvi Kapoor and ace rapper Badshah. The league will get the blessing of Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of the BCCI and Director of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA).
League Structure and Fixtures
The entire UP T20 League will be played out from August 25 onwards till September 14. All matches in the tournament could only be squeezed at Ekana. The league of this year features 6 teams taking part in the tournament in 31 matches with actual league games. The culmination of the tournament will be through Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2, taking place on September 11 and 12 respectively followed by the final showdown on September 14.
The first game of the league will see Kashi Rudras clash swords against Meerut Mavericks at 7:30 PM. The match in itself is one that will truly set off the see-sawing Twenty20 movement that is a month of action. The fixtures are drawn up in such a way as to keep treating the fans right for the rest of the month with a few truly interesting duels.
