Ratan Tata received his tribute from France: Indian industrialist was paid a respect by the French President Emmanuel Macron

A visionary leader and philanthropist deeply connected to France, such a loss to India, but indeed for the world.” So went the words French President Emmanuel Macron dedicated to Indian industrial icon and the chairman emeritus of Tata Group, Ratan Tata over Twitter and at the Embassy of France in New Delhi today. And, on the final day, it was a noble self that Ratan Tata decided to take his soul to the great beyond in a Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on 9th of October 2024, at the age of 91 years, finally ending long and protracted battles with the best enemy: old age.

Macron Pays Tribute: “France Lost an All the Money True Friend”
President Macron described it as “a deep bonding which France shares in respect due to Ratan Tata.” His message also bore this undertone: The dear friend to whom we entrust the preservation of innovation and industrial growth between India and France; a patron of philanthropy, full of simplicity, humility, human vision, and contributions toward society.

One of the closest friends India will lose is France. The vision helm man Ratan Tata has brought much toward developing further the industries of innovation and production both in India and France. Above everything else, his legacy will be associated with a humanist vision, gigantic philanthropic achievement especially with humility, Macron wrote.

It was a balm to Tata’s global prestige as an affluent industrialist and philanthropist close to most transnational communities across the globe, such as in France. As Macron said, it went beyond business: this work involved social welfare and humanitarian concerns.

Ratan Tata Last Journey: A Country In Mourning
Passages of a lachrymose renaissance over the Indian corporate world have been cast with the passing away of Ratan Tata. Such is people’s feeling of sadness that they want to share their condolence messages with one and all in the name of Tata. The last procession through Mumbai is testimony to the mark he left on millions of lives. The mortal remains were taken to NCPA Lawns Thursday morning, 10th October 2024. People came to pay last respects to him. Meanwhile, crowds thronged the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the man who revolutionized Indian industry and touched millions through philanthropic work.

Under the tricolor of India, a glass-topped coffin carrying his mortal remains was taken to Worli Crematorium in a flower-decked van. Thousands of Mumbaikars were lining the roads as the motorcade was passing through the streets of Mumbai-many with tearful eyes, waving in a symbolic salute to a national hero. Some even waved placards carrying his photographs, thanking him for the services he rendered.

Over 200 VVIPs and Tata’s closest relatives waited in serpentine queues to pay their last respects at the Worli Crematorium. The body of Tata was taken inside the religious prayer hall by police officers, which houses the representation of five religions- Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, and Parsi. Thus, the diversity of overall religious representation strikingly portrays Tata’s dominion across communities and sectors of Indian society.

Handsome Tribute: The Last Salute
The cremation site was taken to pay the last tribute with military honors. At the place, a police band rendered the Last Post followed by ceremonial gun salute. As a symbolic gesture of respect the Tricolour drap over Tata’s coffin was ceremoniously folded and handed over to a relative. That marked the final curtain call to this extra-ordinary journey that Ratan Tata had undertaken on this earth.

Millions witnessed the funeral gathering that was telecast worldwide. The funeral gathering more than anything else was a reflection of deep adoration people held for Tata all through his life. His deep love for animals is even reminded in death as many stories of his contributions toward animal welfare are shared at the funeral. This was two months back, when in early 2024 Tata had dedicated a new age animal care hospital at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, a project very dear to his heart. The estimated cost for the new hospital would be around Rs 165 crore while housing more than 200 animals. This, of course, is another story of humanitarian and compassionate nature coming out of him.

A Legacy That Lasts Beyond Business
Tributes are pouring in as a business tycoon like Ratan Tata has finally ceased to be, leaving behind an enormous void not only in the corporate world but even in social causes. He was leading the show when he was the Chairman of Tata Group and the company had metamorphosed into becoming the leader of the world in all other sectors that could be compared with technology, automobiles, and telecom. His leadership has taken Tata Motors very high along with the buying of Jaguar Land Rover. That is the leadership that makes Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reach one position on the line as one of the largest IT service companies in the world with its vision.

But philanthropy sealed his deal in the hearts of millions. Under his tenure, Tata Trusts played into health care, education, rural development, and much more charitable activity as part of corporate social responsibility. Be it building hospitals or funding scholarships to all the poor sections of students, all this and more has been given by Tata.

Probably, the most loving stories of his goodness were over his pets, particularly dogs. He posted a lot of stories about his lovely pets on his social networking sites. The last good deed was before he dies when he established the Mahalaxmi animal hospital. It would not really matter; it really is proof of his lifetime commitment towards the welfare of animals.

International Condolences: A Bereavement for the World
It has brought tremendous, sobbing grief to the global leaders, the large industry tycoons, and even to the citizens at large as Ratan Tata is no more. It begins from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to international leaders, such as President Macron, who paid tributes on his own behalf. All heeded the epochal contributions that Tata had for business and society in general.

However, there are countless anecdotes and reminiscences of those who were lucky to have had a meeting with Tata and others whose lives he touched indirectly through philanthropy works. It was the innumerable jobs the Tata Group created or the philanthropic works of the Tata Trusts that saw Ratan Tata’s influence being big and far-reaching.

This world that will someday pay tributes to Ratan Tata, erstwhile industrial giant, philanthropist, and symbol of benevolence, his shall be a legacy that lives in the hearts and minds of generations thereafter. His vision of stewardship and concern for humankind’s welfare leave a bed that will live long after the final journey for this selfless soul .

Conclusion: A Visionary Remembered
It will not only push the industrial stalwart of India to the dust but also leave an exemplary mark on the end of philanthropy. Therefore, the efforts toward business, society, and humanity cannot be measured in terms, and one of the most loved figures etched into modern history is Ratan Tata. The legacy of Tata will be remembered with admiration and respect. His vision, compassion, and humility will guide generations,” French President Macron succinctly said while paying tributes to him.
