Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde kicks off Maha campaign to reach beneficiaries of Ladli Behna Scheme
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has undertaken an aggressive public outreach for the ambitious CM Ladli Behna Scheme of the state. The drive, which started in Thane on Tuesday, is aimed at connecting with beneficiaries of all government welfare schemes at a personal level, bringing the state leadership closer to the people. A visit by the CM to Kisan Nagar and Jai Bhavani Nagar underlined the resolve of the government to ensure that welfare schemes reached those who needed them most.
Personal Outreach: Contacting the Citizens
During the drive, CM Shinde paid a visit to a few houses in both Kisan Nagar and Jai Bhavani Nagar and spoke to the women beneficiaries, whom he fondly addressed as ‘beloved sisters’. The visit comes as part of the strategic reach-out by Shiv Sena wherein the party aims at taking the government schemes right down to the grassroots. He visited the households and inquired about the benefits that had accrued through the schemes and the problems that persisted after the implementation of the same.
During the visit, CM spoke to women from different families and explained in detail about welfare schemes and their benefits so that nobody remained in the dark regarding welfare schemes and their receipt. He informed them about the Ladli Behna Scheme, social security pension scheme, etc. – at the residences of Reshma Bhaskar Pandav, Archana Patil, and Radha Rawat. All this reflected his hands-on leadership style that blended with people at the grassroots and was remembered and felt by them.
Ambitious Goals: Covering Crores of Households
CM Ladli Behna Scheme comes under the big ambition to be covered for a total of two crore households in the state of Maharashtra. Yuva Sena, which is the youth wing of Shiv Sena, will be leading ahead in its implementation. The motive behind it is to bring the benefits of different welfare schemes offered by the government among the people and make them aware of how to avail of these services.
He personally contacted 15 families in the Kopri-Pachpakhadi Assembly constituency. Talking about the campaign’s objective, he said with the combined effort of Shiv Sena Ministers, MLAs, MPs, and Yuva Sena activists, they would be able to reach one crore homes within the forthcoming week.
That is a ground-level outreach campaign, which is different, underlined CM Shinde. “This is not one of those announcements that the government keeps making. This is an initiative where we ourselves go on to the roads and into homes, ensuring that people understand and gain from the government schemes.”
‘Shasan Aplya Dari’ Model of Outreach
The CM Ladli Behna Scheme campaign is going to be organized in the line of ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’-Government at Your Doorstep, and CM Shinde has appreciated this initiative as it has benefited more than five crore citizens in the past. He emphasized that the same procedure will be followed for the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, ensuring that the benefits go directly to needy individuals.
Thus, the Shiv Sena outreach represents the party’s grand, long-term strategy of remaining in contact with the masses, especially women and families in the state’s rural and urban regions. The Chief Minister reiterated the importance of women’s empowerment, saying that programs like Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana provide critical support to women in every corner of the state.
Tech-Enabled Campaign: Using Apps for Monitoring
It has also developed an app to effectively track the progress of the campaign by keeping a record of outreach activities. This app would facilitate volunteers in recording the visits for transparency and accountability. Yuva Sena working President Purvesh Sarnaik asserted that no beneficiary would be left behind, and each family would get the help required.
The large scale of the campaign-almost one lakh Shiv Sena leaders, activists, and volunteers-being mounted suggests seriousness in the commitment of the government. These volunteers are supposed to fan out across Maharashtra in the next fortnight, going door-to-door, raising awareness about government programs, and ensuring that word spreads far and wide.
Direct Feedback from Beneficiaries
These personal visits by the Chief Minister helped explain the welfare schemes, but at the same time, he got first-hand feedback from the beneficiaries. For example, Sheetal Kalekar from Jai Bhavani Nagar thanked CM Shinde for the Ladki Bahin Yojana, which helped her get much-needed financial assistance, though the processing was delayed.
For instance, another beneficiary, Swati Ghadge, was on top of the world when the CM came to her house. “Was the Maharashtra Chief Minister himself coming to my place to ask about my family’s well-being and problems?” she wondered. All this personalized approach, as many beneficiaries said, drew confidence in them that their government was ‘up to something’ in their lives.
Building Political Engagement
The huge outreach activity is meant to firm up the political base of Shiv Sena, more so in the context of prospective elections. Interfacing with electors at a very personal level, the thrust increases awareness about government schemes and renews faith in the leadership. Checking the implementation of CM Ladli Behna Scheme and other welfare schemes, this is how Shiv Sena gets its political capital: by keeping its base intact with the grassroots.
This is an outreach campaign designed to inform, listen, and make two-way communication between the state government and its subjects. The approach has left a dent on the beneficiaries, with most of them feeling more connected to the government than ever before.
Conclusion: A Ground-Level Initiative with Far-Reaching Impact
The CM Ladli Behna Scheme movement-a movement very powerfully and forcefully taken up at the front by CM Eknath Shinde-is to be duly undertaken by the Maharashtra government in order to empower women and extend all welfare benefits at the doorsteps of households throughout the state. With almost one lakh volunteers on the ground, this movement is bound to engrave millions of families, leaving none behind.
The campaign stands for a new era in governance that is said to usher in the welfare of its people at the grassroots. It will be a foresight, over the coming weeks, into making a potential mark on Maharashtra’s political kaleidoscope by bringing leadership at the state closer to the people.
