Three candidates preparing for the UPSC examination, scheduled for July 27, were drowned in Old Rajendra Nagar. These included Shreya Yadav, from Uttar Pradesh; Nivin Dalwin, from Kerala; and Tanya Soni, from Telangana. They were students who had been caught in their library basement at the campus of Rau’s IAS while heavy rain had caused a nearby drain to burst its banks.
